One caught, one on run after restaurant robbery
One man is in custody and another remains at large after an armed robbery late Tuesday at a Jacksonville restaurant.
Tyrell L. Lobdell, 24, of 800 Hoagland Blvd. was being held Wednesday in the Morgan County Jail on a charge of aggravated robbery.
Jacksonville police were called at 11:49 p.m. Tuesday about an armed robbery that had occurred at Sonic at 1803 W. Morton Ave. The caller told police two men armed with guns had taken money from the business and left in a red vehicle.
Morgan County sheriff’s deputies saw the vehicle and tried to stop it on East Vandalia Road, according to Jacksonville police. The pursued vehicle crashed at East Vandalia Road and Easy Drive and those inside ran.
Lobdell was arrested after a brief search by city police, sheriff’s deputies and South Jacksonville police.
