ARRESTS, CITATIONS
• Ashley N. Werries, 24, of 958 Huber St. was lodged in the Morgan County Jail at 4:30 a.m. Sunday on charges of possession of a controlled substance, criminal trespass to a vehicle and burglary to a vehicle.
According to police reports, Werries was arrested after residents in the first block of Book Lane and the 1900 block of Plum Street reported seeing a woman breaking into vehicles. During the arrest, police said, they found pills in her possession that were not prescribed to her.
• Tina M. Brockhouse, 51, of 14 Valleyview Drive was arrested on a charge of driving under the influence and cited on a charge of failure to yield after police said she pulled out of a driveway in the 1800 block of West Morton Avenue and collided with a vehicle being driven by Ruth H. Craig, 65, of Jacksonville about 6 p.m. Saturday.
THEFTS, BURGLARIES
• During the past two months, someone moved the front license plate from a vehicle in the 700 block of College Avenue. It was found Saturday on another vehicle and returned to the owner.
VANDALISM
• A resident of the first block of Westfair Drive told police about 7:50 p.m. Saturday that some scratched his car with a key overnight.
OTHER REPORTS
• An intense storm cell that moved through the region late Saturday night into Sunday morning resulted in multiple reports of trees, limbs and powerlines being blown down.
Several windows on businesses downtown were shattered by the winds. One was blown out of Denney Jewelers at 59 Central Park Plaza and a large upstairs window was blown out at the Journal-Courier at 235 W. State St.
No injuries were reported.
• The driver’s side window of a semi-truck was broken while it was parked in the 1900 block of West Morton Avenue between 1 p.m. Saturday and when police were called at 2:36 p.m. Sunday. It was undetermined whether it was intentional or a result of debris from a storm.
South Jacksonville Police
ARRESTS, CITATIONS
• Danielle M. Hernandez, 19, of 515 N. High St., Carlinville, was lodged in the Morgan County Jail at 3:40 p.m. Sunday on charges of violating a traffic control device and driving while license is revoked or suspended.

ACCIDENTS
• A 77-year-old Griggsville woman was injured about noon Saturday when the vehicle in which she was a passenger and a tractor collided on Illinois Route 104.
According to an Illinois State Police report, Charles S. McCormick, 78, of Pittsfield was trying to pass a tractor being driven by Cole D. Tenhouse, 19, of Liberty near 400th Street.
As McCormick passing, Tenhouse began to turn into a field and McCormick’s vehicle hit the rear tire on the tractor, which was pulling a grain cart.
A passenger in McCormick’s vehicle, Carolyn J. Sunde, 77, of Griggsville, was taken to Illini Hospital for treatment.
