Jacksonville Police

ARRESTS, CITATIONS

• Laron E. Chisolm, 25, of 1727 E. Morgan St., Springfield, was arrested about 10:20 p.m. Tuesday on charges of possession of cannabis and possession of a controlled substance.

• Shannan D. Miller, 39, of 605 Locust Dr. was booked into the Morgan County Jail about 7:26 p.m. Wednesday on a charge of filing a false report of an offense.

BURGLARIES, THEFTS

• Someone stole a vape box between 1 and 9:30 p.m. Tuesday from a residence in the 400 block of South East Street.

VANDALISM

• Someone scratched three vehicles around June 28 in the 400 block of South Clay Avenue, according to a report filed about 6:20 p.m. Tuesday.

ACCIDENTS

• Angel M. Privia, 38, of Jacksonville was cited for improper lane usage after the vehicle she was driving crossed the center line and hit a vehicle being driven by Marci A. Morriss, 41, of Jacksonville about 2:35 at College Avenue and Diamond Street.

South Jacksonville Police

ARRESTS, CITATIONS

• A 17-year-old boy was arrested about 11:20 p.m. Tuesday on charges of possession of a stolen firearm, unlawful use of a firearm and unlawful possession of firearm ammunition.

Firefighters battle a fire Wednesday in the attic of the residence of Nicholas Savage at 921 E. College Ave. A Jacksonville Fire Department report said Savage was home when a tree limb fell onto a power line shortly before 9 a.m., pulling it from the house. Savage told firefighters the power went out, came back on and then he saw smoke and then flames. About $75,000 damage was done to the house and $10,000 damage to its contents, according to the fire department. Jacksonville firefighters were assisted by the South Jacksonville Fire Department. Firefighters were on the scene for two and a half hours. No injuries were reported.
