ARRESTS, CITATIONS
• Eric L. Mefford, 33, of 846 Sand St., Winchester, was booked into the Morgan County Jail at 8:38 p.m. Friday on charges of possession of a controlled substance and driving under the influence.
• Michael L. Spires, 32, of 545 S. Kosciusko St. was booked into the Morgan County Jail at 5:38 p.m. Saturday on charges of aggravated domestic battery and unlawful restraint.
Jacksonville Police
ACCIDENTS
• Abram A. Carr, 57, of Jacksonville was cited for operating an uninsured motor vehicle and following too closely after a two-vehicle accident about 11 a.m. Saturday at South Church Street and West Morton Avenue.
Police said Carr’s southbound vehicle struck the rear of a vehicle being driven by Skylar Y. Bennett, 58, of Jacksonville.
An unidentified passenger in Bennett’s vehicle was treated at the scene for back pain.

• Dustin P. Murphy, 27, of 1042 N. Main St. was booked into the Morgan County Jail at 10:02 p.m. Friday on charges of driving while license is suspended or revoked and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.
• Gregory S. Meredith, 28, of 836 Kamm Road, Springfield, was booked into the Morgan County Jail at 10:52 p.m. Friday on charges of violating an order of protection and resisting a peace officer.
• Jamie L. Berkley, 29, of 406 S. East St. was booked into the Morgan County Jail at midnight Friday on charges of driving while license is suspended or revoked and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.
BURGLARIES, THEFTS
• Someone stole a bicycle from a back yard on South Diamond Street, according to a report filed at 3:44 p.m. Saturday.
FIRES
• Jacksonville firefighters were called at 11:48 a.m. Saturday to a fire in an air conditioner at Reynolds Consumer Products on East Morton Avenue. Additional information was unavailable.
