Jacksonville Police

ARRESTS, CITATIONS

• Kinisha L. Walton, 43, of Cahokia was booked into the Morgan County Jail about 8:33 p.m. Friday on a battery charge.

• Bonnie M. Fanning, 28, of 619 Elm St., Chapin, was booked into the Morgan County Jail about 11:12 p.m. Friday on a charge of possession of a controlled substance.

• Kendra L. Bright, 40, of Springfield was booked into the Morgan County Jail about 3:40 a.m. Saturday on charges of driving while her license is revoked or suspended and violating the lights and lamps act.

• Kazia R. Bright, 20 , of Springfield was booked into the Morgan County Jail about 3:58 p.m. Saturday on a charge of resisting a peace officer and an unlicensed charge.

• Clarence H. Rawlings, 42, of 815 W. College Ave. was booked into the Morgan County Jail about 10:35 a.m. Saturday on a domestic battery charge.

Jacksonville Fire Dept.

FIRES

• The Jacksonville Fire Department responded to a small fire at 1007 King St. about 4:09 a.m. Saturday.

According to department officials, a stack of papers next to a candle caught fire and was extinguished by a water can. A small portion of a wall had minor damage, but the structure of the house did not ignite. The homeowner was at home at the time.

The department was at the home for less than a half hour and no injuries were reported.
