Car leaves the road, stops against house
RUSHVILLE — Authorities are investigating the possibility a medical condition caused a car to travel off of Jefferson Street and hit multiple utility poles and go through several yards before coming to a stop against a house on Adams Street.
Driver Jon Ackman, 66, of Rushville was injured in the accident about 10 a.m. Wednesday. He was treated at Culbertson Hospital for what an Illinois State Police report said were moderate injuries. Ackman told police he blacked out because of an unknown medical condition. He has been cited on a charge of improper lane use.
