Jacksonville Police

ACCIDENTS

• Andrew G. Peacock, 22, of Jacksonville was cited on a charge of driving too fast for conditions after his vehicle hit a utility line box and pole about 10:20 p.m. Wednesday. He also was cited on a charge of operating an uninsured motor vehicle.

ARRESTS, CITATIONS

• Jessica K. Houdyshell, 34, of 800 Hoagland Blvd. was booked into the Morgan County Jail at 4:18 p.m. Thursday on charges of cyberstalk/threat, criminal damage to property and harassment by telephone.

• Lindsey A. Huston, 27, of 3A Appomattox Ave. was booked into the Morgan County Jail at 6:13 p.m. Thursday on a charge of possession of a controlled substance.

ARRESTS, CITATIONS

• Franklin M. Heindricks, 28, of Jerseyville was lodged in the Greene County Jail at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday on a Greene County arrest warrant seeking to revoke probation.

Fire and smoke heavily damaged this one-story house Thursday at 900 Beesley Ave. Jacksonville firefighters were called to the residence about 3:05 p.m. and when they arrived, they saw smoke and fire coming from a front window. No one was home when the fire began. The blaze was contained to a front room and attic, but there was smoke and heat damage throughout the house, according to a fire department report. Firefighters were on the scene for a little more than an hour. South Jacksonville firefighters assisted city firefighters.
